Day 1 Language Teaching and Technology

Well, this is very exciting because this is my first blog ever!  I like the question, what did I learn new today?, because I've always believed we should learn something new each day.  And better than that, I've also always believed that once we can identify what we've learned that's new, we can go home :)  (Although I don't recall ever really doing that when what I've learned occurs at 9:00 a.m.)

So, what have I learned that's new today? 
- How to become a blogger.
- That there won't be homework in this course (or hardly any except for the review that I'll do anyway)
- That there's all sorts of e-tools at my finger tips that I'm about to discover in this course.  This is important to me because I am re-entering the field of education after a 20+ year hiatus from teaching and have not felt the need to have a lot of technology in my life - I still like my paper.
