Today we had fun with group work, interactive work and we watched a video about Microsoft's vision of the future.
The group work involved the development of a power point presentation using Google docs. First I created the doc, then invited Brandy and Erin to collaborate (via email) on the power point presentation. Thank goodness we were able to do this as a group as we all had different skills, ideas and information to contribute. It would have taken me hours to do this alone or without their help. For my students, it may be useful to know they can create, review or revise documents using this tool. We did ours on critiquing commercials.
But, I think what excited me the most was the Titanpad. I see tremendous potential for using this in the Essential English section of our classes, with people asking and answering questions, providing examples of records and notes, technical terminology etc. Here is the link http://titanpad.com/ImlbKY1SPp.
If I'm lucky and practice enough, I'll remember how to insert photos into this blog.
